Enneagram

The Enneagram is more than a personality typing tool – it’s a map of human motivation, behaviour, and growth. It offers a clear view of the internal patterns that shape how we think, relate, lead, and get in our own way.

In my work, I use the Enneagram not to label, but to deepen awareness. Each of the nine types reflects a core strategy for navigating the world – formed early, often unconsciously. These patterns can help us succeed, but they can also limit us if left unquestioned. The Enneagram helps bring those strategies into the light, so we can work with them rather than be run by them.

Used well, it becomes a powerful developmental tool: one that fosters emotional intelligence, builds compassion (for self and others), and helps us grow beyond habitual reactivity. In coaching, it provides a precise language for inner work – especially when integrated with broader frameworks like Spiral Dynamics and Integral theory.

Clients often experience the Enneagram as a mirror that’s both uncomfortable and liberating. It offers challenge and clarity in equal measure – and becomes a practical companion in the pursuit of more conscious leadership, career alignment, and personal evolution.

Typical outcomes of Enneagram-informed coaching include:

  • Clearer understanding of what drives behaviour under stress or pressure

  • Greater emotional self-awareness and behavioural flexibility

  • More constructive conflict navigation and relationship management

  • A deeper sense of purpose – and a more sustainable way to pursue it

  • The ability to notice, name, and shift recurring patterns that no longer serve

It’s not always comfortable work – but it’s always transformative when you’re ready for it.
